Appellation Sonoma County's Dry Creek Valley viticultural area, tucked on a hilly pass on the border of Dry Creek and Alexander Valleys.
Vineyard Terrior The vineyard is located on gently sloping hillsides. During the growing season the vineyard sees typically hot days after the cooling evening fog burns away each morning. The soil is sandy clay loam.

Flavor Profiles Our Cabernet exhibits rich aromas of blackberries and other black-skinned fruit, has good weight and mouthfeel, solid structure with flavors of coffee, chocolate and currants.
Goal To produce premium luxury Bordeaux variety grapes by using biodynamic agriculture practices.
Strategy
  • Farm biodynamically and eliminate the use of chemical herbicides and pesticides.
  • Develop permanent cover crops, composts for soil and vine health.
  • Provide a diverse habitat surrounding the vineyard to attract beneficial birds and insects.
  • Let nature provide control for gophers and other vineyard pests by attracting raptors and providing them with nest sites, thus avoiding chemical pest control methods.
